Roman Mitchell is a BEng-qualified civil engineer and Co-Owner of Marblanc Solar, bringing a decade of engineering expertise to one of the Costa del Sol’s fastest-growing solar installers. He relocated to Spain for rehabilitation following a knee injury, where he met Adam Millington, the founder of Marblanc Solar. Drawn by the opportunity he saw in Spain’s solar market and the natural fit with his civil engineering background, Roman became Co-Owner in 2024 with a mandate to transform the client proposal process.
Roman oversees Marblanc Solar’s team of survey engineers, who create detailed solar proposals for prospective clients, and the appointment-setting team responsible for booking survey visits. He works closely with the content team to document installations and produce educational materials about solar energy and how Marblanc Solar operates. Roman is personally present in every client WhatsApp group and takes direct responsibility for the quality of Marblanc Solar’s aftersales care.
Outside of work, Roman enjoys the gym and making the most of life in Marbella.
Roman applies his civil engineering training to a survey process that goes far beyond a standard quote. Each survey includes a drone inspection of the roof to assess quality and solar suitability, a review of the property’s electrical boards and intake capacity, and analysis of the client’s energy bill data. The output is a 15–20 page report covering system design, estimated ROI, payback period, and financial projections – an educational document built to help clients make a fully informed decision.
